combine_xr_attributes

HSTB.kluster.xarray_helpers.combine_xr_attributes(datasets)

xarray open_mfdataset only retains the attributes of the first dataset. We store profiles and installation parameters in datasets as they arise. We need to combine the attributes across all datasets for our final dataset.

Designed for the ping record, with filenames, survey identifiers, etc. Will also accept min/max stats from navigation

Parameters

datasets (list) – list of xarray.Datasets representing range_angle for our workflow. Can be any dataset object though. We are just storing attributes in the range_angle one so far.

Returns

contains all unique attributes across all dataset, will append unique prim/secondary serial numbers and ignore duplicate settings entries
